Day By Day Itinerary

Day 1, Transfer to Hotel in Panama City

Welcome to Panama! Meet our representative at the airport at Customs. Exit for transportation to the hotel in the city.

Day 2

Day 2: Panama City and Canal Tour

Our day starts early as we head out to visit to the Miraflores Locks, where you can observe the crossing of the ships and tour of the 4 exhibition rooms dedicated  to the Eighth Wonder of the modern world. We then head to The Old Town, founded in 1673 that continues to maintain a contrast of Spanish and French architecture. The Old Town was declared a World Heritage Site in 1999 by UNESCO, We will walk its cobbled streets, squares and historical monuments.  We will visit the Amador Road for a short to take photos with the famous PANAMA sign. 

Day 3

Day 3: Embera Indigenous Villages Tour – Tusipono

Leaving from Panama City to the Chagres National Park where a boat awaits us that will take us through the Chagres River to the indigenous community of Tusipono that will receive us and will share their dances, music, customs and ancestral traditions. We will have the opportunity to travel ecological paths, visit waterfalls and taste a typical lunch of the indigenous village.

Day 4

Day 4: Turn to the Anton ValleyToday we will travel to the province of Coclé to the Valle de Antón, 600 meters above sea level. The Anton Valley is an old caldera of an extinct volcano, whose slopes are covered by humid tropical forests and are crossed by rivers with impressive waterfalls; the most famous is El Chorro del Macho. In order to appreciate it, we will enjoy a short walk through a dense tropical rain forest, appreciating the dense vegetation and the abundance of birds and other animals in their natural habitat. We will visit the El Níspero zoo and botanical garden, which is home to numerous endemic and endangered species; and the Valle museum, which exuberant pre-Columbian and colonial relics of the area.

Day 5

Day 5: Mono Island and Cable Car in Gamboa – Dinner with Folkloric Show

Start our day by heading to the Gamboa area where we will board a small boat that will take us along the waterway of the Panama Canal, passing through Gatun Lake, where we will observe the boats and tugs in its transit by the Lake, until reaching Monkey Island. Observe the lush flora and fauna that make up the heart of the Panama Canal, its tropical humid forest, without which it would stop working. Upon arriving at the Island, we can see and feed some of the most popular species of monkeys in the canal area and  don’t worry, they love taking pics! Tonight a special dinner at Las Tinajas Restaurant where you will enjoy a delicious local dinner while enjoying our traditional dances and music.

Day 6

Day 6: Transfer Hotel Panama City – Tocuemen International Airport

Transfer to the airport.
