Day By Day Itinerary

Day 1: After our group meet-up near Dongwha Duty Free Shop in Seoul, we embark on our adventure and travel southwards towards Gongju, a city steeped in history and charm. The scenic drive, spanning approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, will offer glimpses of Korea’s picturesque countryside. Upon arrival in Gongju, our first stop will be the Tomb of King Muryeong, a UNESCO World Heritage site that serves as a testament to the rich cultural legacy of the Baekje period. Here, we’ll immerse ourselves in the fascinating relics and artifacts, gaining insights into ancient Korean civilization. Next, we’ll journey to the awe-inspiring Gongsanseong Fortress, perched majestically amidst verdant mountains. The fortress not only offers panoramic views of the Geumgang riverside but also provides a window into Korea’s storied past. After a day filled with exploration and discovery, we’ll proceed to Jeonju, renowned for its Hanok Village, where we’ll check into our accommodations and unwind after a fulfilling day of travel.

Day 2

Day 2: Following a restful night’s sleep, we’ll awaken to a delicious breakfast at our hotel in Jeonju, setting the stage for another day of adventure. Our journey continues as we depart for Gwangju, a city synonymous with Korea’s modern democratic movement. En route, we’ll delve deeper into Korea’s tumultuous history with a visit to the May 18th National Cemetery, a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made for freedom and democracy. From there, we’ll make our way to Suncheon, where we’ll be greeted by the breathtaking beauty of the Suncheon Bay Garden. With its vibrant tulip fields and serene landscapes, the garden is a true oasis of natural splendor. As the day draws to a close, we’ll head to Yeosu, where we’ll spend the night and reflect on the day’s adventures.

Day 3

Day 3: After a hearty breakfast, we’ll embark on a cultural odyssey to Jinjuseong Fortress, a historic site steeped in legend and lore. Here, amidst ancient ramparts and towering gates, we’ll unravel the tales of valor and bravery that echo through the ages. Our journey then takes us to Busan, Korea’s bustling port city, where we’ll explore the sights and sounds of Jagalchi Market and BIFF Square. From there, we’ll make our way to the sun-kissed shores of Haeundae Beach and Dongbaek Park, where we’ll bask in the tranquility of the sea. As the sun sets on another day of adventure, we’ll retire to our accommodations in Gyeongju, ready to recharge for the day ahead.

 

Day 4

Day 4: With a sense of anticipation, we’ll greet the day with a sumptuous breakfast before setting out to explore the cultural treasures of Gyeongju. Our first stop will be the Seokguram Grotto and Bulguksa Buddhist Temple, where we’ll marvel at the intricate architecture and spiritual significance of these UNESCO World Heritage sites. Continuing our journey, we’ll make our way to Andong, home to the enchanting Hahoe Village, a living testament to Korea’s traditional way of life. Here, amidst centuries-old hanok houses and winding alleyways, we’ll step back in time and immerse ourselves in the rich tapestry of Korean culture. As the day draws to a close, we’ll journey to Pyeongchang, the site of the 2018 Winter Olympic Games, where we’ll rest and rejuvenate in preparation for our final day of adventure.

 

Day 5

Day 5: On our final day, we’ll savor a leisurely breakfast before embarking on our journey homeward. Before bidding farewell to Korea’s rich cultural landscape, we’ll make one last stop at the Gangneung Hyangho Beach in Sokcho, where we’ll soak up the sun and surf amidst stunning coastal vistas. Our adventure concludes with a visit to the majestic Seoraksan National Park, a UNESCO Biosphere Zone renowned for its dramatic peaks and lush valleys. As we bid adieu to the natural wonders of Korea, we’ll journey back to Seoul, our hearts filled with memories of unforgettable experiences and cherished moments shared with newfound friends.
